If you work just for money, you’ll never make it, but if you love what you’re doing and you always put the customer first, success will be yours.

RJ Miller Building Professionals is in the business of changing peoples lives for the better. Dedication to promoting good building practices, safe and affordable housing, and protecting consumers, helps people realize new standards of living and working, and maintain the peace and prosperity that have already built. That's how customers are put first, and its what the founder, Robert Miller, loves most of all about his work.
Our work is centered around residential and commercial property inspection, design of new homes and small buildings, and managing the construction process. The company started as a side project in 2009 to provide resources to other design professionals. In 2014 to had grown substantially to its present form and continues to deliver the best possible service to the customers we love to put first.
We share with our community by publishing architectural drawings, interpretations of the building codes, and writing on technical construction topics in The Home Remedy Blog — all under easy to use Creative Commons licenses which we believe are most helpful to our users. As part of our mission, we do occasionally reduce or waive fees for services where a client would otherwise not have access, and a specific need is apparent.
The Founder, Robert Miller, has volunteered as a Federal Councillor for the GPC Fund, Board Member of the College of the North Atlantic Board of Governors, President of the Student Representatives council of the College of the North Atlantic, and Build Volunteer for Cabot Habitat for Humanity. He has taken on various design projects pro bono, including some preliminary work for the Bubble Greenhouse Collaboration which is currently in development. He was a member of 100 Men Who Give a Damn since its second meeting, and continues to support charities of his choosing: The Arthritis Society, The Canadian Red Cross, Eating Disorders Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador, The Gathering Place, and the SPCA Newfoundland & Labrador St. John's Branch.
